Meet David Sheehan

With more than 20 years of industry experience, David Sheehan focuses on “balanced” financial planning and developing distribution strategies for deferred compensation plans. David’s emphasis is on providing a high level of service to for a finite number of clients, which he believes sets him apart from other advisors.

“I’m very proactive in reaching out to clients. I believe that every client is different, and it’s important to meet throughout the year to discuss the client’s needs and make sure their goals are being met. We mold ourselves to the client’s needs, not the other way around,” he says.

David is Series 65 licensed and uses a broad array of investment, insurance and retirement planning tools when developing financial plans for his clients. Married to a retired Lieutenant Colonel, he also specializes in working with our active and retired military service members and the various retirement planning needs they have, based on the intricacies of their benefits.

He has served clients in Arizona, Georgia, Washington, D.C. and even worked for a while in Germany. “This experience has given me the ability to see and understand all types of investments, insurance and annuities,” he says.

He likens himself to an “orchestral conductor,” leading each of the different financial groups toward harmonization when putting a client’s financial plan together. That often includes case design and strategies incorporating annuities, investments, life insurance, savings, pensions and deferred compensation plans.

David is married with three sons, ages 16, 19 and 21, all Eagle Scouts. He is active in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warrensburg, and enjoys riding wave runners and playing volleyball.

“I enjoy seeing the difference I can make in clients’ lives over the years and, also, being there in their time of need.”
